    With the encouragement of my dentist I sought out a career in the dental field. I started working part time as a dental assistant before starting hygiene school. I have been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2013 and I joined Dr. Balas' team in August 2021. I've had the opportunity to make a difference in someone's overall oral health which gives me much joy in knowing I chose the right career. During my free time, I enjoy spending time traveling, and discovering new activities with my four children (while trying to keep up with their busy schedules)!

  • Joanna - Registered Dental Hygienist

    Joanna is originally from Poland and moved to the US in 2002. She attended the Dental Hygiene Program at Harper College and graduated in 2010. Joanna is passionate about educating her patients in proper oral health techniques to ensure they live a healthier lifestyle. Outside of dentistry she enjoys biking, hiking and exploring places with her husband and two children.  

  • Ari - Financial Coordinator

    My career in dentistry started almost 10 years ago, and I have been with Dr. Balas since December 2018. I am passionate about working closely with our patients and assisting them with finances when making major decisions about their dental health. Being a part of their dental treatment journey and seeing the transition in their smile is such an honor. When I am not in the office, I love spending time with my husband and my two kitties - Pepper & Sinead. I also enjoy cooking, jigsaw puzzles, and mini golf.

  • Sarah - Dental Assistant

    Sarah has been a dental assistant for over 15 years, and joined Dr. Balas's team in June of 2021. She is very passionate about the dental field, and enjoys getting to know our patients. Her main goal is to make sure each and every patient is receiving quality care and attention. Outside of the dental office, Sarah attends school part-time to fulfill her goals of becoming a dental hygienist, running, and spending time with friends & family. She also has a daughter in high school who is a talented artist and musician. 

  • Stephanie - Scheduling Coordinator

    I have been in the dental field since 2016. I started out as a dental assistant and later a surgical assistant. In June 2020 I moved to the area and I joined Dr. Balas team exploring dentistry in a new role. I enjoy working at the front desk connecting with patients and helping schedule them on their way to their perfect smile! When I am not at work, my husband and I enjoy traveling, walking outside and watching true crime/drama shows with my cat, T.

  • Janeth - Dental Assistant

    With over 15 years of experience in the dental field, I began working alongside of Dr. Balas in 2018. I fell in love with the clinical aspect of dentistry, and especially enjoy seeing the benefits of the dental care we provide to our patients. I am happy knowing that I have helped people gain confidence in their smile and overall oral health. In my free time I enjoy trying new things, yoga,  working out, gardening, and spending time with my family. 

  • Beth - Registered Dental Hygienist

    My dental career began in 1988 when I graduated from Marquette University. I joined Dr. Balas in 1994 and have been a team member ever since. Over the years I have met so many families from our community and I am honored that they have trusted me to help them live a healthy and pain-free life. I strive to give each patient the individual care they deserve and a smile they can be proud of. I am grateful to be a part of an office that strives to be better every day and truly cares about our patients. My husband and I have lived in Arlington Heights for almost 30 years we we have raised our 3 daughters.
